I provide an Occupational Therapy service to children, young people and adults living in North and West Yorkshire, Lancashire and surrounding areas. With many years’ experience of working as an Occupational Therapist in NHS, voluntary, private and independent sectors across children's services, within pre-five diagnostic teams, mainstream and specialist schools, community learning disability centres, residential and respite services; I have a range of specialist skills, knowledge and resources to draw on.

Occupations & Activities:
Sometimes in life we face barriers to completing activities that we need or want to do, including leisure and hobbies (walking our dog, playing sports, arts/crafts); personal care skills (washing, dressing, bathing, cooking, feeding); life skills (shopping, budgeting, travel, routines and structure); education (planning and organisational skills, handwriting, recording work), play development, vocational (paid work/work experience). Whatever you or you or your child's individual needs are, I can support you overcome barriers to enable you/your child participate in occupations and activities that are important to you/them.

For children and young people, much of my support focuses on a 'playfulness' approach. Play enables children and young people to use their creativity whilst developing their imagination, fine-motor dexterity, physical and sensorimotor skills, cognitive abilities, sensory-processing skills, safe attachments, emotional regulation and resilience. It is through play that children from a very early age engage and interact in the world around them, as we should continue to do as adults!
